There are two Westminster Constituencies within East Dunbartonshire, they are:
"East Dunbartonshire CLP" and "Cumbernauld, Kilsyth & Kirkintilloch East CLP".
East Dunbartonshire CLP lies completely within the East Dunbartonshire Council boundary
whereas Cumbernauld & Kirkintilloch East CLP is mainly within North Lanarkshire.

East Dunbartonshire, formerly a safe Labour seat, was one by the Liberal Democrats at the
last election.
Mary Galbraith is the confirmed Parliamentary Candidate for East Dunbartonshire for the
next election.

Cumbernauld & Kirkintilloch East has the largest Labour majority in Scotland. The current
MP, Rosemary McKenna, is retiring at the next election.
Gregg McClymont is the confirmed candidate for the next election.

The next meeting of East Dunbartonshire CLP will take place on Monday February 1st 2010 at the slightly earlier time of 6.30pm, at Tom Johnston House, Kirkintilloch. Please find the agenda attached.

It will be followed at 7.30pm by a meeting of the Strathkelvin & Bearsden Scottish Parliament Forum, which will include the election of a new secretary.
