It is a great privilege for me to be the MSP for Strathkelvin and Bearsden, I’ve lived in Kirkintilloch, in the heart of the constituency for 24 years. The constituency is recognised as one of the best places in Scotland to live, work and do business. Rich in history, there are Roman remains spread throughout the area including remnants of the Antonine Wall that go back to 143 AD. Population of the area is around 105,000 spread around Kirkintilloch, Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, Bearsden and the villages of Twechar, Milton of Campsie, Torrance and Lennoxtown.
